Terms of Service

Sighted has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You must not post inappropriate, offensive, hateful, or illegal content. This includes but is not limited to: harassment, bullying, threats, explicit material, misinformation, spam, and content that violates the rights of others.

Abusive behavior toward other users, including harassment, intimidation, or any form of abuse, is strictly prohibited.

Violation of this policy will result in the immediate and permanent banning of your account. Sighted reserves the right to remove any content and terminate any account at its sole discretion without prior notice.

Severe or repeated violations may result in access restrictions applied to the user's entire country or region. Sighted reserves the right to restrict access at its sole discretion to protect the community.

Any content posted on Sighted that violates local, national, or international law will be reported to the relevant law enforcement authorities. Sighted will fully cooperate with any investigation arising from such content.

By posting content on Sighted, you assume full and sole responsibility for all content you share. You expressly release Sighted, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any liability, claims, damages, or legal consequences arising from your content.

Sighted is provided 'as is' without any warranties of any kind.

Sighted reserves the right to terminate or suspend any account at its sole discretion, without prior notice, for any violation of these terms.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use Sighted. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet these age requirements.

You can delete your account at any time from the app settings. Account deletion will permanently remove all your data, including your profile, posts, sights, stories, comments, and followers. This action cannot be undone.

By posting content (photos, videos, or live streams) on Sighted, you acknowledge and agree that your content may be featured on Sighted TV, our official live streaming channel on YouTube and other third-party streaming platforms. This includes, but is not limited to, displaying your photos in a rotating slideshow and rebroadcasting your live streams. Sighted reserves the right to select which content is featured at its sole discretion. You will not receive additional compensation for featured content beyond the standard use of the platform.

We collect minimal data necessary for app functionality:

• Account information (username, email, date of birth)
• Location data is used only for creating posts and sights
• Content you create (posts, sights, stories, comments)
• Published content is visible for 24 hours, after which it is automatically deleted
• Special events may have extended visibility periods
• Ultra card photo: if you own Sighted Ultra and request your custom Dex card, we collect the photo and the name you submit. They are stored in our Firebase backend and reviewed by our team only to create your card. Your card's design and style may be adapted from the original photo, and we will confirm the final card with you before it is added to the app in the next version. The photo is deleted as soon as your card is created. You can contact us at any time at hello@sighted.app to have your photo or any other information you submitted deleted.
• Dex cards and packs: we store the cards you collect and when you open packs, so your collection is kept across devices.

Sighted uses your device's front-facing camera and Apple's Vision framework to perform on-device facial analysis solely for the purpose of age verification and liveness detection (detecting blinks, smiles, and head movements). A CoreML model estimates your age from a single camera frame. All face data processing occurs entirely on your device — no facial images, facial geometry, or biometric data are ever transmitted to our servers or shared with any third party. Face data exists only in device memory during the verification session and is immediately discarded once verification is complete. Only the verification result, the method used (Apple's age range sharing, on-device selfie check, or date of birth) and a timestamp are stored in your account record. When you verify with your date of birth, your age is calculated on our servers from the birth date stored in your private profile. Sighted does not retain, store, or share any face data.

• Industry-standard encryption protects your data
• You can export all your data from the app settings
• You can delete your account and all associated data at any time
• Private account details (email, recovery email, date of birth, push notification token, and blocked/muted lists) are stored separately from your public profile and are visible only to you and our administrators.

• Right to opt out: Manage analytics and consent preferences from settings
• Right to rectification: Edit your profile information at any time

Sighted uses Google Firebase as its backend infrastructure. Firebase services include:

• Firebase Authentication: account management
• Cloud Firestore: data storage
• Firebase Storage: media files
• Firebase Cloud Messaging: push notifications
• Firebase Analytics: anonymous usage analytics (can be disabled in settings)

Your data is processed by Google LLC under their data processing terms. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.

Selected user content (photos, videos, and live streams) may be broadcast on Sighted TV, our official channel on YouTube and other third-party streaming platforms. Your username may be displayed alongside your content. By using Sighted, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your content on these platforms.

• Posts, sights, stories, and notifications are automatically deleted after 24 hours
• Account profile data is retained until you delete your account
• Exported data reflects only data that exists at the time of export
• Face data used for age verification is never stored — it exists only in device memory during the verification session and is discarded immediately after

Sighted offers two optional one-time purchases. Neither is a subscription and neither renews automatically. Payments are processed and managed entirely by Apple through the App Store; we never receive your payment card details. For refunds, contact Apple Support.

• Sighted Pro: no ads, a gold star on your profile, a free daily pack with 2 Dex cards, and once a day a like on your posts earns a pack with 2 cards.
• Sighted Ultra: everything in Pro, plus your own Dex card created from a photo you send, exclusive promo cards, a free daily pack with 9 Dex cards, and once a day a like on your posts earns a pack with 9 cards.

Purchase records: when you buy, we store a record linked to your account with the App Store transaction ID, the product, price, currency and purchase date. To confirm a purchase is genuine, the app sends Apple's signed transaction to our servers, where Apple's signature is verified. A purchase is linked to the first Sighted account that uses it.
