Terms of Service

You must not post inappropriate, offensive, hateful, or illegal content. This includes but is not limited to: harassment, threats, explicit material, misinformation, and content that violates the rights of others.

Violation of this policy will result in the permanent ban of your account.

Severe or repeated violations may result in access restrictions applied to the user's entire country or region. Sighted reserves the right to restrict access at its sole discretion to protect the community.

Any content posted on Sighted that violates local, national, or international law will be reported to the relevant law enforcement authorities. Sighted will fully cooperate with any investigation arising from such content.

By posting content on Sighted, you assume full and sole responsibility for any and all content you share. You expressly exclude Sighted, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any liability, claims, damages, or legal consequences arising from your content.

Sighted is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind.

Sighted reserves the right to terminate or suspend any account at its sole discretion, without prior notice, for any violation of these terms.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use Sighted. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

You may delete your account at any time from the app settings. Deleting your account will permanently remove all your data, including your profile, posts, sightings, stories, comments, and followers. This action cannot be undone.

We collect minimal data necessary for app functionality:

• Account information (username, email, date of birth)
• Location data is only used when creating posts and sightings
• Content you create (posts, sightings, stories, comments)
• Posted content remains visible for 24 hours, after which it is automatically deleted
• Extended visibility periods may apply for special events

• Your data will never be sold or shared without explicit consent
• Industry-standard encryption protects your information
• You can export all your data from the app settings
• You can delete your account and all associated data at any time

• Right to deletion: Delete your account and all data from settings
• Right to opt-out: Manage analytics and consent preferences in settings
• Right to rectification: Edit your profile information at any time

Sighted uses Google Firebase as its backend infrastructure. Firebase services include:

• Firebase Authentication: account management
• Cloud Firestore: data storage
• Firebase Storage: media files
• Firebase Cloud Messaging: push notifications
• Firebase Analytics: anonymous usage analytics (can be disabled in settings)

Your data is processed by Google LLC under their data processing terms. For more information, visit Google's privacy policy.

• Posts, sightings, stories, and notifications are automatically deleted after 24 hours
• Account profile data is retained until you delete your account
• Exported data reflects only what exists at the time of export
